Petrified wood is the name given to tree trunks and roots that have been fossilized between 250 and 266 million years ago, during the Mesozoic and Paleozoic Era, the wood of these trees have been replaced more often than not with Quartz or Agates but the rings or trunk structure are still visible in lots of cases.
