Coral stone has a rich history and origin that dates back thousands of years. 
It is formed from the accumulated skeletons of coral polyps, which are tiny marine invertebrates that live in colonies.
These polyps extract calcium carbonate from seawater to build their protective skeletons, and over time, these skeletons become fossilized to create Coral Stone or sometimes  formed through glaciation, where sheets of ice sheared off the edges of bedrock stones, these are sometimes known as Petoskey Stones after an Ottawa Indian Legend and indigenous chief. 
This stunning sea beauty has been used throughout history for various purposes, in ancient times, it was utilized as a construction material for buildings and sculptures due to its durability and aesthetic appeal. It has been found in ancient Egyptian, Roman, and Mayan structures, among others.
